It is deep and wide enough to handle 4 to 5 average size chicken breast. It is the prefect size and shape for cooking most dishes - from sauteing to making soup. This is by far my favorite pan. I have been using this for over 2 years and it is still going strong. The handles stay cool and the weight is easy to handle (I can't stand some of these copper-based HEAVY pans that are impossible to handle with one hand).I like that it browns meat and veggies very evenly. I even use this for my one-pot chicken noodle soup where I poach my chicken breasts in broth with all the veggies. The prices at Amazon are amazingly low. Look out for their Daily deals or Friday sales for the best deals.
#5, I have used it to make pan fry frozen Chinese style pancake. When I first got it, I hated so much as everything would stick to it, leaving the pan bottom discolored. First, it is lightweight. My cast-iron one can't cook tomato. Do think about the good sides. (Although handle is not very convenient, it is too short, does not yield enough leverage to allow one arm to lift it - at least for my weak arm.
Anyway, you can't use it as Non-stick. As I don't like to return unless it is really bad, I tried to get used to it and was indeed able to discover a few things good about it. it works pretty well. I had to take things out little but little until it is light enough for me to lift it by one arm) #2 I think it is safer than than Teflon, or DuPon coatings. #3, it encourages healthy cooking as you have to use lower temperature to avoid food gets sticked to the pan#4, if my understanding is correct, you can use Hard-Anodized to cook food that contains acid. It is not.
Returning merchandise wastes time, energy, and causes business harder to make money at such difficult time :-)
Everything sticks to this pan and I mean everything. I am not at all happy with this product especially for the price I paid. I would not purchase another one.
pot lasted less than thirty days. Rusted and chipped. Lid was fine. Recommend to NO ONE, unless you wish to waste money.
It is easy to use and clean, and a very versatile pan. The price was very reasonable too. The metal lid inspires a little more confidence than the glass cover on other pans (blame it on my clumsiness.). It is a great product.
